There are many ways in which one can volunteer with the Binbrook Agricultural Society. Along with the Binbrook Fair there are other opportunities for the youth in Binbrook to volunteer whether it is because it is something they like to do or whether it is to earn their High School Volunteer hours.
The most well known event at the Binbrook Fairgrounds is the Binbrook Fair. This event involves a lot of volunteer hours to make it a success. If you are interested in volunteering for the fair please send and email to info@binbrookagsociety.org and express your interest in helping out.
Student Volunteer Hours
Any student who is volunteering to obtain volunteer hours for High School may request their form be signed by either the chairperson for the event they are assisting with or the office staff.
Catering
Do you enjoy food and fun? The BAS Volunteers provide catering for various functions booked in the Main Agricultural Hall throughout the year. If you are interested in helping out at a Catered event give Shannon a call at (905) 692-3020 or email at shannonwellnitz@hotmail.com.
Work Bees
Every Wednesday morning at 7am a group of wonderful, retired volunteers get together and “tinker” around the grounds. If you are looking for something to do Wednesday mornings feel free to stop by and help out. Ask for Pat Powell when you arrive!
BAS Annual Volunteer Appreciation and Awards Night
In November the BAS will hold their Annual Appreciation and Awards Night. All volunteers who have helped over the past year will receive an invitation to attend if we have your contact information. It is required that you RSVP your intention to attend so that there will be enough space and food.
